2026 Updates

I’m in the last stretch of finishing up pre-requisites to apply for Veterinary school at NCSU! I will tentatively be shifting over to an animal care related job starting late summer/early fall of 2026 to get the clinical hours required for my application. Starting then, I will be fully moving away from cutting hair.

For the time being, I’m still taking a limited amount of existing clients, prioritizing those on a recurring schedule.

As I progress closer towards the transition, I will do my best to get everyone set up with a stylist that I feel would be a good fit. I will also make sure that you have your color formulas and any relevant information to pass along to them. Please email me if you need that info!

Check out my Hairstylist Referrals page to check out some local folks who do great work.

In the meantime, my hope is to also transition from hairdresser to friend. I want to host community gatherings, events, and connect all of you lovely people who I’ve had the pleasure of working with through the years. Plus, it will be a great excuse to hang out. Keep an eye out in your email inbox!

Hopefully, I will also get to see you all out in the world & maybe down the road I’ll get to care for your critters! It would be a great joy to me.

:-)

Love, Molly

  • I open up my calendar in 2 month windows at a time, this allows for some flexibility with my school schedule.

I try to send out an email when I open up the next 2 month booking window. Double check your spam folder just incase, the booking emails can sometimes get flagged as junk mail.

Email me to join my waitlist and I’ll reach out if anything opens up! Include your availability in the email if you know your schedule.

To make sure you’re getting a timely response from me, please send any hair related inquiries to my work number (919-495-4332) or my work email address so that I can keep things organized because I have major executive functioning issues :-) If I don’t respond, PLEASE send a follow up message! I am never offended. I have goldfish brain most of the time, I promise it isn’t personal and I always love hearing from you.

Please note: I check emails, texts and do all of my hair related admin on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the week.

  • Park in either the lot behind the building or street park on Broad or Green (if the lot is full.)

Once you arrive, you can head around to the front door and let yourself in with the door code.

You can hang in the back area where the couches are and make yourself at home! There’s coffee and tea in the little nook by the bathroom. I will come get you once I’m cleaned up and ready for you.

For safety reasons, the front door stays locked outside of business hours and you will not be able to access the building with the code after 7pm. If you have a later appointment, I will come let you in!

Please note: The studio that I work out of is in a shared building that we are still working on better sound-proofing. For the sake of avoiding disruptions to the therapists and their clients, please keep talking to a low volume in the common areas and hallways.

    Thanks so much!

  • I’m located at Velvet Petal Collective in Durham. The address is 820 Broad Street. There is complimentary parking behind the building. It’s the pink building just off the corner of Broad & Green!

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of the service, the cancellation fee is 20% of the service. If I need to cancel or shift your appointment within 24 hours, you’ll receive 20% off of your rescheduled service.

The cancellation fee is waived for anyone airing on the side of caution with being sick! I’d rather reschedule, it’s no biggie.

    Late Policy:

I do my best to stay on track during the day, but can get off schedule at times. I will do my best to let you know so you can plan accordingly. If you’re running behind, just text me to give me a heads up. We can always do what we can with the time we have left before my next appointment.

  • I typically mask in the salon around cold and flu season. If you would feel more comfortable with me wearing a K-95 for you or your loved ones who are immune compromised or Covid cautious, I’m more than happy to. Just give me a heads up before your appointment.
